Kraina Kresu – New Paths Podcast

Endlands – New Paths Podcast

Here is a gentle offering of the “Adaptation Algorithms: Lessons from Trees” project funded by the KPO for Culture National Funds, sponsored by the European Union.

In these slow listening sessions, I talk to environmentalists, nature historians, biologists, animists, healers, farmers, mystics, practitioners of nature’s teachings, who follow the path of reverence, through deep listening, empathic attunement, gentle explorations, embodied learning, and often confrontation with their shadows and deeply feared personal or collective myths. I seek ways of healing the split between the mind and the heart, body and spirit, reconnecting what was once separated. My guide is the Forest – primeval, everlasting, powerfully creative in its regenerative and adaptive strategies. Following the path of biomimicry, but extended into the sociospiritual tissue of the human psyche, I hope to find answers to urgently burning questions – how to return to remembrance of what we once were and who we really are as conscious beings, entangled with the consciousness of the Great Mother – Gaia?

Episode I “Rememberence”

In this episode we travel to the mysterious land of Crete, where we are meeting with Filippos – an owner of the land inherited from his ancestors in the southern part of the island called Asterousia Mountains – a Gate to the Stars – by the Lybian sea, mythical place of caves, desert winds and shepherds, where once mystics and spiritual practitioners hid in caves from the prosecutions. In a conversation that took place outside on his farm, where he now keeps horses, planning to build a community of land keepers and artists, he tells me about his family history, connection to the sea, ways of remembering and ways of forgetting. In the background, the land talks too – birds, cicadas, mountains, ancient olive trees, a dog named Millie, and his two lady horses.
